Read out the COLOUR of each word as quickly as you can. If you say the word instead, then start again. Not so easy is it? Why is it so difficult? Well, amateur psychologists would simply say because it's the 2 separate halves of your brain work against each other, one trying to process colour information and the other textual data. You are simply giving your brain a hard time by asking it to perform 2 simultaneous kinds of task. Success here is simply a case of over-riding the programming that automatically happens when recognising words in a language you understand.
If you actually manage this I will compliment you on this blog.
